The course deals with the mathematical basis of modern cryptographic algorithms. It can be taken as a special course in advanced level undergraduate and graduate studies of computer science and mathematics.


General Information

  • Lectures by PhD Kaisa Nyberg: Wednesday 14-16, hall T1, Note! The last lecture and exercises are held on 10.12.2003 in hall T2. There are no lectures or exercises on 3.12.2003.

    Lectures are held in Finnish. Exercise classes are bilingual. All written material is given in English.

  • In order to pass the course one has to
    • pass the exam.
    • Additional exam points (max 6p) can be obtained by doing homework exercises and participating in the exercise classes. Exercises are not mandatory but strongly recommended.
