  • Teleware corporation: Lecturer on GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) courses. The number of courses: 15
  • Nokia corporation: Lecturer on GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) courses. The number of courses: 40 (total number of students on the courses over 1000)
  • HUT's DIPOLI: Lecturer at Information Security Training Program on the area of security of mobile communication
  • Special programming courses

    At CSE department, each student must participate a large programming project course (T.76.115, 5 cr), during which four to six students are working together as a programming project team. Following teams have been supervised and instructed:
  • Piccolo: Distributed control of small, restricted capacity networked devices (It won the first price year 1999-2000))
  • MIPL: Mobile IP for IPv6 (It won the second price year 1999-2000)
  • Dynamics: Hierarchical Mobile IP for IPv4 (It won the second price year 1998-1999).
  • Out of Dynamics, Lifix -company was established and later merged with SecGo. By 2005, SecGo got Tieturi's Data Security Award for security solution of secured communication solutions for mobile users.
